Biography[]

Zuckuss was an adult male member of the Gands race of the planet Gand, and a member of the Findsmen and the Bounty Hunters' Guild. He worked for several power ful clients such as Jabba the Hutt, and was often partnered with the droid hunter known as 4-LOM.

On one mission, Zuckuss and 4-LOM traveled to the planet Lowik in pursuit of former Imperial soldier Beilert Valance. The two fought with Valance, but Beilert was able to drive them off with his cybernetic enhancements. 4-LOM and he quickly left Lowik in his ship, the Mist Hunter. [3]

In 3 ABY, Zuckuss was one of several bounty hunters hired by Darth Vader, and brought aboard the Imperial Star Destroyer Executor. Vader instructed the hunters to track down the Millennium Falcon, after it had escaped from Imperial pursuit following the Battle of Hoth. Zuckuss and 4-LOM did not locate the Falcon, and its captain and crew were ultimately captured by fellow bounty hunter Boba Fett. [4][5]

Equipment[]

  • GRS-1 snare rifle: Manufactured by Merr-Sonn Munitions, Inc., and was a two-handed weapon that fired a spraynet immobilizing liquid. [6]

Vehicles[]

  • Mist Hunter: A fifteen meter G-1A transport ship manufactured by Byblos Drive Yards.

Notes & Trivia[]

  • Zuckuss stands at 1.5 meters tall, which makes him 4'11". [7]
  • There has been some confusion over which character from Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back was Zuckuss and which was 4-LOM. This is owed entirely to the action figure line by Kenner, who mistakenly swapped the character names on the action figure cards. When Kenner released new molds of the figures for the 40th anniversary of The Empire Strikes Back, the mis-labeled names were retained.
  • In "The Crimson Forever" story from Star Wars #50 by Marvel Comics, Zuckuss' name is mis-spelled as "Zuckass", which sounds similar to "suck-ass".
  • A Zuckuss figurine was produced by Kotobukiya.
  • Zuckuss' race has been mistakenly referred to as "Gann", rather than Gand.
