Zeltrons are a fictional alien race featured in the Star Wars multimedia franchise. They were first introduced in 1983 in the ongoing Star Wars comic book series by Marvel Comics. They have since been included in the Expanded Universe tie-ins, mostly in roleplaying game supplements and magazine articles. No Zeltrons appeared in either the original film series or the prequel series. The first Zeltron character was a woman named Dani.
Biology[]
Zeltrons are a humanoid alien race who come from the planet Zeltros. Physically, they resemble humans, but are easily distinguished due to their dark red skin. Zeltrons are by their nature social and sexually aggressive people, who often indulge themselves in lifestyles of extreme hedonism.
Part of what make Zeltrons so unique among other near-humans is there ability to produce pheromones, which makes them more attractive to other races. Zeltrons also possess limited empathic abilities, enabling them to sense the emotional state of another individual. Combining these two traits made resisting a Zeltrons charms nearly impossible.
History[]
Some time after the Battle of Yavin, Luke Skywalker met a Zeltron named Dani on the planet Stenos. He was taken aback by her warm demeanor affectionate gaze. Unaware of how Zeltrons normally behaved, Luke took Dani's advances on a personal level. Princess Leia always tried to warn him about Zeltrons and how they act, but secretly harbored a bit of resentment towards the species as a whole. [1]
Even Leia was not immune to their charms however. On a secret mission to the space station Kabray, Leia had a chance encounter with a male Zeltron and grew immediately uncomfortable in his presence. [2]
