Zarek is a fictional political leader and a recurring antagonist featured in comic books published by Marvel Comics. He is part of the mainstream Earth-616 continuity and is associated with the Captain Marvel line of comic book titles. He first appeared in "The Coming of Captain Marvel" story from Marvel Super-Heroes #12 in December, 1967.
