Zaadja is a fictional planet featured in the Star Wars multimedia franchise. It is part of the original Expanded Universe, and is no longer considered part of canon continuity. It appeared in Star Wars: Republic #67 in July, 2004.

Description[]

Zaadja was a planet located in the Zaadja System in the Savareen Sector of the Outer Rim Territories. It appeared to have a primarily cold environment with landscapes covered by ice and snow.

History[]

During the Clone Wars, the Confederacy of Independent Systems established a weapons factory on Zaadja, which was developed and operated by the Geonosians.

In 22 BBY, the Grand Army of the Republic engaged in a mission to Zaadja to destroy the weapons facility. The mission was led by Jedi Masters Obi-Wan Kenobi and Tohno, and Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker.

While Skywalker and Kenobi led the clone troopers against the B1 battle droids as a diversionary tactic, Master Tohno infiltrated the facility by way of an underground passage littered with Mandalorian armor.

As it turned out, there was no way that Tohno would have been able to complete the mission without sacrificing herself. Anakin Skywalker was unwilling to accept this and called in a support aerial assault. Tohno, however, resigned herself to her fate and planted charges that destroyed the weapons factory. She died in the explosion. [1]
