Yumiko is a fictional zombie holocaust survivor and a recurring supporting character featured in The Walking Dead comic book series published by Image Comics and Skybound Entertainment. She first appeared in issue #127 of the series in May, 2014. The character was added to the Also Starring cast line-up of AMC's The Walking Dead in 2018 where she was played by actress Eleanor Matsuura. The character was introduced during a six-year time-jump at the end of episode 9x0, "What Comes After".
Overview[]
Yumiko was a young Asian-American woman in her apparent mid-twenties. She was a survivor of the zombie apocalypse and was based out of Richmond, Virginia. She became a member of a group of survivors led by Magna. She traveled towards Washington, D.C. and became involved with the people at the Alexandria Safe-Zone. Along with Magna, she became a soldier in Rick Grimes' militia against the Whisperers.
