Yrra Cynril, also known as Fatality, is a fictional alien and a recurring antagonist featured in comic books published by DC Comics. She is associated with the Green Lantern line of comic titles and first appeared in the "Adventures in Babysitting" story from Green Lantern, Volume 3 #82 in January, 1997.
Biography[]
Yrra Cynril was a female member of the Xanshian race of the planet Xanshi. During the "Cosmic Odyssey" event, Green Lantern John Stewart discovered a Blink Bomb in the planet's core. He tried to save the beleagured planet, but failed, and Xanshi was destroyed, killing nearly all of is inhabitants. John blamed himself for Xanshi's destruction, and carried the burden of guilt for many years. One survivor of Xanshi's fate, Yrra Cynril, blamed the Green Lantern Corps for her homeworld's destruction, and set on a path to avenge her people by killing as many Green Lanterns as she could find.
