Youngblood is an American comic book series of the superhero subgenre. It was created by writer/artist Rob Liefeld and published by Image Comics for a ten-issue run from 1992-1994. The book revolved around the government-sanctioned superhero response team Youngblood, which was the Image Universe counterpart to Marvel Comics' Avengers. The franchise spawned a three more ongoing titles under Liefeld's production studio Extreme Studios and was revisited years later in subsequent Liefeld-helmed imprints including Maximum Press, Awesome Comics and Arcade Comics. In 2012, Youngblood returned to it's home at Image Comics and resumed it's original numbering sequence beginning with issue #71
