Overview[]
An alternate future era version of Nathaniel Richards traveled backwards in time to the modern era to form a team of heroes to help him defeat Kang. Unable to locate any of the existing members of the Avengers, he accessed the Avengers Fail-Safe Program, and learned of various young heroes who were either related or bore some connection to older members of the team. He gathered together Elijah Bradley - the Patriot, Billy Kaplan - Wiccan, as well as Teddy Altman, aka Hulkling. Richards himself took on the mantle of Iron Lad. Later members of the team included Cassie Lang and Kate Bishop.
