Yiannis is a fictional fisherman and a minor character featured in comic books published by DC Comics. He first appeared in Hawkman, Volume 5 #1 in August, 2018.
Biography[]
Yiannis was a middle-aged Greek fisherman. He was married to a woman named Agathe. At some point, Yiannis became friends with archaeologist and adventurer Carter Hall.
When Carter Hall was investigating the location of a relic known as the Nautilus of Revealment, Yiannis agreed to take him out to the island of Santorini in the Aegean Sea. Although he could have journeyed their under his own wing-power as Hawkman, Yiannis' boat saved him some much needed time and energy. Yiannis gave him a supply of salted fish that his wife had prepared for him. [2]
