A Xenomorph drone is a breed and caste classification of the Xenomorph XX121 alien species. This is the most common type of Xenomorph. It is differentiated from other breeds such as the Xenomorph queen, which is larger, has more distinctive features, and is the only breed capable of reproduction, as well as the Xenomorph warrior, who are biologically similar to the drone, though they tend to be larger and more fierce. Drones follow the same behavioral patterns as other Xenomorphs and their instinctive function is to hunt prey and built hive nests. Drones secrete a resin, which is used in the construction of a hive.
