Xantar is a fictional planet featured in comic books published by Marvel Comics. It was first referenced in "The Goliath, the Gargoyle and the Galaxy Master!" story from Incredible Hulk #270 in April, 1982.
Description[]
Xantar is the second planet in the Xantares System. Its topography consists of arid and mountainous environs with 72% of the planet's surface covered in water. It has 280% Earth standard gravity and an atmosphere that is 76% nitrogen and 23% oxygen. Xantar has a population of 3.4 billion people. It's society is governed by a monarchy and a Council of Elders and its citizenry consists of a warrior race. [1]
Xantar is home to the Xantarean race. Xantarean culture was led by a Council of Elders and administrated by the Grand Xantarean.
History[]
The Grand Council of Elders had one of its Xantareans, Qnax, exiled into the Xantares System under the false belief that he was to act as their champion. When he returned to question their judgement, he was exiled into the Xantares System yet again.
