X-Force is a fictional superhero team featured in comic books published by Marvel Comics. They are part of the X-Men family of titles and evolved from a preexisting group known as the New Mutants. The former New Mutants rebranded themselves as X-Force in New Mutants, Volume 1 #100, which was the final issue of that series. That group included not only the New Mutants, but also members of a futuristic paramilitary unit dubbed Six Pack. They then spun-out into their own book, X-Force, Volume 1 in 1991.
