- The character of Wonder Woman was created by writer William Moulton Marston and artist Harry G. Peter. She first appeared in a back-up feature in All-Star Comics #8 in January 1942 titled "Introducing Wonder Woman". The character then went on to headline two ongoing titles, Wonder Woman and Sensation Comics and has appeared consistently ever since.
- This is the first appearance of the Lansinarian morphing disk. This later becomes the Post-Crisis iteration of Wonder Woman's classic invisible plane.
- This is the first and only appearance of Burt Kepplehoffer, who is a security guard at the Gateway City Museum of Antiquities; dies in this issue.
- This is the first appearance of the Mark IV Metropolitan Pacification prototype.
