Wonder Woman is an American feature film of the superhero fantasy and action genres. It is based on the character of Princess Diana, aka Wonder Woman, as seen in comic book titles published by DC Comics. It is the fourth film in the "DC Extended Universe" and follows the 2016 films Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, in which the character is first introduced, as well as the Suicide Squad feature film, though it has no connection to this movie other than being placed in the same continuity. Wonder Woman was directed by Patty Jenkins with a script written by Allan Heinberg and Geoff Johns based on a story treatment by Heinberg and Zack Snyder. The film was produced by Warner Bros. Pictures, Atlas Entertainment, and DC Entertainment in association with RatPac-Dune Entertainment. It was released theatrically in the United States in 2017.
