Wolverine is an American comic book limited series of the superhero fantasy subgenre. It was published by Marvel Comics from September-December, 1982 and totalled four issues. It is the first comic series to spotlight the costumed anti-hero, Wolverine, who is also a recurring character in the superhero team series Uncanny X-Men.
Wolverine was written by longtime X-Men scribe Chris Claremont and illustrated by famed Daredevil artist Frank Miller. Finished art and inks were provided by Joe Rubinstein. Miller and Rubinstein also composed the cover art illustrations for all four issues. The issues were colored by Glynis Wein with Lynn Varley stepping in to color issue #4 and they were lettered by Tom Orzechowski. The series was edited by Louise Jones. All four issues were reprinted in hardcover and trade paperback collections.

Notes & Trivia
- The hardcover collection was also printed in bookstore edition, both of which were released in 2006.
- The events of this series take place between issues #171-172 of Uncanny X-Men, Volume 1.
- Prior to this series, Wolverine chronologically appeared last in Marvel Team-Up #135.
- This issue introduces the villain Shingen Harada, who is the leader of Clan Yashida and the father of Mariko Yashida.
- Mariko Yashida appeared last in Uncanny X-Men #143. She appears next in Uncanny X-Men #172.
- This series introduces the character of Yukio. Following the events of this title, she makes recurring appearances in issues of Wolverine, Volume 2, Uncanny X-Men and the Kitty Pryde & Wolverine limited series.
- This series introduces Mariko's first husband, Noburu-Hideki - next in line to head Clan Yashida. This series is the character's only appearance.
- One of the major adversaries of this series is the mystical ninja assassin clan known as the Hand. They are regularly featured as foes of Daredevil and first appeared in Daredevil, Volume 1 #174 in 1981.
