- Manitowoc is a city in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. On Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., this was the location of a diner called Rae's Restaurant. After an exhausting battle trying to liberate themselves from a virtual reality simulator called The Framework, Phil Coulson and his fellow S.H.I.E.L.D. agents decided to take a much-needed respite.
