The Willow Creek Camping Ground is a fictional location featured in the Astounding Wolf-Man ongoing comic book series published by Image Comics. It was a recurring setting featured in the series and first appeared in Astounding Wolf-Man #1 in May, 2007.
The Willow Creek Campground was a camp site and activity area located in the city of Willow Creek in the U.S. state of Montana. Several years ago, Gary Hampton took his wife Rebecca and teenage daughter Chloe on vacation to Willow Creek. An elder werewolf, whom had observed Gary for many years, determined that he possessed the virtues required to become his successor. On the night of the full moon, he attacked Gary, transmitting the curse of lycanthropy onto him. It would be several weeks before Gary learned who was responsible for turning him into a werewolf. As far as local law enforcement were concerned, Gary had been mauled by a wild animal.
