Wild Dog is an American comic book series of the superhero fantasy genre, with an emphasis on the street-vigilante trope. The series was published by DC Comics and ran for four issues from September to December, 1987. The series was written by Max Allan Collins with artwork by Terry Beatty and inks by Dick Giordano. Beatty and Giordano also provided the cover art illustrations for the series. It was colored by Michele Wolfman and lettered by John E. Workman. The series was edited by Mike Gold. A one-shot special was published in October, 1989. The series introduced the costumed hero of Wild Dog, whose true identity was kept a mystery until the final issue of the book.

  • Another version of Wild Dog - a Latino youth named Rene Ramirez, made appeared in season five of the CW Network television series Arrow. He was played by actor Rick Gonzalez. Although this was a different character, he wore a costume similar to that worn by Wild Dog in the comic series.
