- The characters of Shazam and Billy Batson and all related characters were created by writer, colorist and editor Bill Parker, and artist & inker C.C. Beck for Fawcett Publications. They first appeared in Whiz Comics #2 in February, 1940.
- The characters of Prince Amentep and Princess Taia were created by writer Bill Parker and artist C.C. Beck. They first appeared in the second story in Whiz Comics #2 in February, 1940.
- The characters of Golden Arrow and his faithful horse White Wind were created by writer Bill Parker and artist Pete Costanza. They first appeared in the third story in Whiz Comics #2 in February, 1940.
