The Wheel is a fictional space station featured in the Star Wars multimedia franchise. It first appeared in Star Wars #18, published by Marvel Comics in December, 1978.
Description[]
The Wheel was a space station located in the Besh Gorgon System in the Mid Rim Territories. Its primary function was that of a massive gambling network with several casinos and related games of chance attractions.
History[]
During the Clone Wars, the Baron Administrator of The Wheel was a Jashwik named Cody Sunn-Childe. He had purchased the station from its previous Baron Administrator, Dominic Raynor.
During the Galactic Civil War, the Wheel was run by Baron Administrator Simon Greyshade. It automatic and maintenance functions were overseen by his Master-Con master controller droid. Although the administrators of the Wheel kept its operations free of Imperial involvement, an Imperial Navy officer named Zertik Strom insinuated himself onto the station and manipulated its staff and patrons for his own ends.
