What If...? is an American ongoing comic book series of the superhero anthology genre. It was published by Marvel Comics and ran for forty-seven issues from February 1977 to October 1984. The series was created by Roy Thomas and explores the various alternate possibilities that the lives of the characters of the mighty Marvel Universe could have taken, but for the sake of a few minor changes. For example: What if Spider-Man never became a crime-fighter and instead took up a gig in show business?
