Westchester County is a county located in the US state of New York. It was founded in 1683 and has a land area of 500 square miles and an average population of approximately 950,000 people.
In speculative fiction, Westchester County is where the community of Salem Center is located in the town of North Salem, which is home to the superhero team, the X-Men, who live and work out of the mansion home of the founder, Professor Charles Xavier at 1407 Graymalkin Lane. Professor Xavier renovated his family's home into a school designed to train mutants dubbed Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters.

Josie and the Pussycats and Sabrina, the Teenage Witch creator Dan DeCarlo was born in New Rochelle on December 12th, 1919. He passed away in New Rochelle on December 18th, 2001 just seven days after his 82nd birthday.
