The character of Jack Russell was created by Roy Thomas, Dann Thomas & Gerry Conway and artist Mike Ploog. He first appeared in the "Night of Full Moon... Night of Fear!" story from Marvel Spotlight #2 from February, 1972. This issue carries the approval stamp of the Comics Code Authority. This issue is cover copy code 02155. This issue is UPC barcode number 7148602155 11. The tagline for this issue is, "The man with the gaze of doom! Fire Eyes!" This is the final issue of the series with Marv Wolfman as Editor-in-Chief. This issue includes a house ad for Hostess Twinkies © featuring Spider-Man in "The Spider-Man and the Fly!" This is the final appearance of Doctor Glitternight; dies in this issue. This is the first, and to date, only known appearance of Fire-Eyes. This is the final appearance of Burning Snake, the Cowled One, and Goat-Child.
