"Comes the Hangman" is the title to the eleventh issue of the Werewolf by Night ongoing comic book series published by Marvel Comics. The story was written by Marv Wolfman with artwork by Gil Kane and inks by Tom Sutton. It was colored by Petra Goldberg and lettered by Tom Sutton and possibly Charlotte Jetter. The story was edited by Roy Thomas. The cover art illustration was rendered by Gil Kane and Al Milgrom. This issue shipped with a November, 1973 cover date and carries a cover price of .20 cents per copy.

"Comes the Hangman"[]

The character of Jack Russell was created by Roy Thomas, Dann Thomas & Gerry Conway and artist Mike Ploog. He first appeared in the "Night of Full Moon... Night of Fear!" story from Marvel Spotlight #2 from February, 1972.
This issue is reprinted in the Essential Werewolf by Night, Volume 1 trade paperback collection.
The tagline for this issue is "Full Moon, Fear Moon!"
