Werewolf by Night is an American horror-themed film short, which is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and is based on characters and concepts featured in comic book titles published by Marvel Comics. It was directed by Michael Giacchino with a teleplay written by Heather Quinn and Peter Cameron. It was produced by Marvel Studios and premiered at Fantastic Fest on September 25th, 2022. It was screened at Beyond Fest on October 5th, 2022 and was released on the Disney+ streaming service on October 7th, 2022.
Plot[]
With the passing of famed monster hunter Ulysses Bloodstone, the power of the Bloodstone gem is now offered up a to new successor - one who is worthy to continue the tradition of great monster hunters of the past. Ulysses' widow, Verussa hosts a contest at Bloodstone Manor to capture a creature. Among the participants is Ulysses' daughter, Elsa Bloodstone, and a mysterious individual named Jack Russell. As the group hunt for the elusive monster, as well as each other, they learn a dark secret about Jack Russell - a secret that may very well spell the end of their lives by way of tooth and claw.
