Werebats, or were-bats, are a type of supernatural creature. They are humans who can transform the entirety or parts of their bodies into bat-like creatures. Some vampires possess an ability similar to this, but they are not true were-bats. Werebats are a very uncommon breed of shape-shifter, and usually do not exist as a distinctive species. Most who would fall under the heading of a "were-bat" are those who develop their abilities either through mysticism, the occult (such as a curse), or through scientific happenstance.
