The Webgun is a fictional item featured in comic books published by DC Comics. It is associated with heroes of the Golden Age, such as the All-Star Squadron, and first appeared in Star-Spangled Comics #1 in October, 1941. The webgun was a handheld device that could fire a long silk chord that could be used to ensnare enemies or as a makeshift grappling hook. It was used by Jonathan Law during his career as the Tarantula.
