It was written by Terry Kavanagh with artwork and inks by Derek Yaniger, as well as Alex Saviuk and Joe Rubinstein. It was colored by Bob Sharen and lettered by Steve Dutro. The story was edited by Rob Tokar with Danny Fingeroth as group editor. This issue shipped with a February, 1993 cover date and carries a cover price of $1.25 per copy (US).

- The character of Spider-Man was created by writer Stan Lee and artist Steve Ditko. He first appeared in Amazing Fantasy #15 in August, 1962 in a story titled "Spider-Man!" The character has since gone on to become one of the most well-known and enduring super-heroes of all time, having appeared in numerous comic book titles, as well as feature films, animated projects and video games.
- This issue carries the approval stamp of the Comics Code Authority.
- This issue shipped to retailers on December 1st, 1992.
- Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson are referred to as husband and wife here. However, years later, their marriage is erased from existence by Mephisto in Amazing Spider-Man #545.
- The gunmen accuse Blood Rose of killing their boss, Richard Fisk. "Richard Fisk" was killed in Web of Spider-Man #89. However, this was not Richard Fisk, but his friend Alfredo Morelli, who was posing as Fisk, as explained in Web of Spider-Man #100.
- Although not revealed as yet in this story, Richard & Mary Parker are actually Life Model Decoys designed to resemble Peter's actual parents. This is revealed in Amazing Spider-Man #388.
- This is the first appearance of Kevin Trench. He appears next in Web of Spider-Man #98.
