Web-Shooters, often referred to as Spider-Man's web-shooters, are a fictional technological device featured in comic books published by Marvel Comics. They are most frequently seen in the Spider-Man family of comic titles.
Description[]
Web-shooters are mechanized gauntlets that produce a line of thick adhesive, similar in function to the webbing produced by spiders. Web-shooters were developed by fifteen-year-old Peter Parker, shortly after he developed superhuman powers when he was bitten by a radioactive spider. The shooters consist of a wrist-band fitted with eight cartridges filled with web-fluid, which is a formula of Parker's own invention. The trigger mechanism and cut-off valve are part of a palm device attached to the gauntlets by a small tube.
Peter Parker's clone, Ben Reilly, used a similar device, but was refined to the point that it included a projection system, by which he could fire balls of impact webbing.
