Description[]
The Weapon X facility was a laboratory complex located near the town of Roanoke in Alberta, Canada. It was developed by Department K, which coordinated with the American Central Intelligence Agency and was used as the staging ground for the Weapon X program.
In the 1960s, the facility was run by Truett Hudson, also known as "The Professor", and its head scientist was Doctor Abraham Cornelius. Using Adamantium, the scientists developed a bonding process, in which they could infuse living subjects with the liquid metal, which became unbreakable once it cooled and solidified. Unfortunately, subjects were unable to survive the process, until The Professor found Team X agent Logan, who was a mutant gifted with accelerated healing. Logan's body was infused with Adamantium, which coated his entire skeletal structure, making his bones virtually unbreakable. Though Logan survived, he was driven insane and broke out of the laboratory. Driven by a berserker feral rage, he blazed through the facility, slaughtering scientists and military personnel in order to escape. One of the young MPs at the site, Malcolm Colcord, was severely injured, but miraculously survived.
