"Weapon X-Force"[]
Weapon X Force is in Hell and have laid claim to the soul of Sabretooth's son, Grayden Creed. Azazel sends the team back to Washington, D.C., where they go up against the Church of Human Potential. William Stryker is resurrected and uses his loyal flunky Mentallo to attack the team with blasts of psychokinetic force. He unleashes a mental attack on Sabretooth that reduces him to a truly animalistic state.
But Stryker's resurrection requires a blood sacrifice and Sabretooth is more than willing to give up his soul if it means saving his son. Sabretooth decapitates the reborn Stryker with his claws, and is then shunted through a portal to Hell. Azazel is not impressed however, feeling that a noble sacrifice to save another is an unearned venture by the standards of Hell, so he sends him back to Earth and dumps him in the wilds of Saskatchewan.
