It was directed by Matt Shakman with a script written by Cameron Squires. It premiered on Disney+ on Friday, February 19th, 2021.

- WandaVision was created by Kevin Feige, Louis D'Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Matt Shakman, and Jac Schaeffer. Shakman served as head writer on the series.
- Wanda Maximoff was created by writer Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby. She first appeared in The X-Men, Volume 1 #4 in March, 1964 in a story called "The Brotherhood of Evil Mutants!".
- The Vision was created by writer Roy Thomas and artists John Buscema, Marie Severin and George Klein. He first appeared in Avengers, Volume 1 #57 in October, 1968 in a story titled "Behold... the Vision!".
- Actress Emma Caulfield is credited as Emma Caulfield Ford in this episode.
- This is the only episode of WandaVision where Cameron Squires is credited as an episode writer. He is also a staff writer on the series.
- A mid-credit stinger shows Monica Rambeau walking about outside of the Maximoff residence and opening up the root cellar. "Pietro" appears suddenly before her and says "Snooper's gonna snoop".
- "Agnes" is revealed to be the witch, Agatha Harkness, in this episode.

- The title of this episode refers to a popular storytelling trope known as "Breaking the Fourth Wall". The Fourth Wall is the thematic barrier separating the fictional world from those in the real world who perceive it. Breaking the Fourth Wall is when the characters in a specified form of media are self-aware, which is to say, they are cognizant that they are fictional characters in a TV program, or film, or comic book, etc.
