It was directed by Matt Shakman with a script written by Cameron Squires. It premiered on Disney+ on Friday, February 19th, 2021.

- WandaVision was created by Kevin Feige, Louis D'Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Matt Shakman, and Jac Schaeffer. Shakman served as head writer on the series.
- Wanda Maximoff was created by writer Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby. She first appeared in The X-Men, Volume 1 #4 in March, 1964 in a story called "The Brotherhood of Evil Mutants!".

- The title of this episode refers to a popular storytelling trope known as "Breaking the Fourth Wall". The Fourth Wall is the thematic barrier separating the fictional world from those in the real world who perceive it.
