Wally was a teenage boy who lived in the town of Bailey, New Hampshire. He was friends with another boy named Andy. While riding their bicycles, the two youths took note of Oberon, who was a little person. They made fun of him because of his diminished height and referred to him as a "Smurf" and a "Hobbit". Wally was one of a group of six dwarves from an otherworldly dimension hired by the Supreme Being to repair apertures in the fabric of Spacetime. However, realizing the opportunities presented to them, they instead decided to steal a map and embark upon an adventure throughout the Spacetime continuum, visiting various timelines. Along the way, they befriend a young boy from Earth named Kevin.
