"The Calm Before" is the title to the thirty-seventh issue of the survival horror comic book series The Walking Dead published by Image Comics. It is the first chapter in the six-part "The Calm Before" storyline. The story was written by Robert Kirkman with artwork and inks by Charlie Adlard. Adlard also rendered the cover art illustration to this issue. The story is in black and white with grey tone coloring highlights by Cliff Rathburn. It was lettered by Rus Wooton. This issue was published with a May, 2007 cover date and carries a cover price of $2.99 per copy (US).
