"The Best Defense" is the story title to the thirtieth issue of The Walking Dead comic book series published by Image Comics. It is the sixth and final chapter in the six-part "The Best Defense" storyline. The story was written by Robert Kirkman with interior artwork and inks by Charlie Adlard and grey-tone color highlights by Cliff Rathburn. Adlard also rendered the cover art illustration to this issue. The story was lettered by Rus Wooton. This issue shipped with an August, 2006 cover date, and carries a cover price of $2.99 per copy (US).
