- Reference is made to Shane in this issue. Rick returned to Atlanta and found Shane as a zombie and put him down in The Walking Dead #15.
- Repeated references are made to Rachel Greene and Susie Greene in this issue, who were the youngest daughters of Hershel Greene. Thomas Richards beheaded them behind-the-scenes in The Walking Dead #15.
