Description[]
The Variable Geometry Self-Propelled Battle Droid, Mark I is a droid-controlled drone starfighter utilized by the Trade Federation in the waning days of the Old Republic and by the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars. Also known as a Vulture-class droid starfighter, the Mark I functions as both a starfighter as well as a land terrain "walker" assault vehicle. In walker mode, the wing foils of the Mark I convert to legs and can traverse most forms of terrain. Both versions of the Mark I are equipped with offensive systems, though there have been slight alterations made between the Trade Federation starfighters and the CIS starfighter. The manufacturing of the Variable Geometry Self-Propelled Battle Droid, Mark I was a collaborative effort between Baktoid Armor Workshop and Haor Chall Engineering.
