Vlad is a fictional monster hunter and a supporting character in the Hack/Slash comic book franchise published by Devil's Due Publishing and Image Comics. He first appeared in the Hack/Slash: Euthanized one-shot special in April, 2004.
Biography[]
Vlad is a giant deformed human. His size is in contrast to his personality, and he has been described as "a gentle giant". Monster hunter Cassie Hack encountered Vlad and mistakenly believed him to be an undead creature known as a "Slasher". Once she realized the truth however, she made Vlad her partner and he has accompanied her on her many misadventures ever since. Vlad liked Cassie because he didn't give her the "heebie-jeebies". Monstrously strong, Vlad proved a powerful ally with both his fists and his gigantic long knives.
