Marvel Cinematic Universe[]
Virgil is a fictional character featured in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He appeared in season five of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and was played by actor Jeff Ward. Virgil was one of the human survivors aboard the Lighthouse, which was an orbital Kree facility that contained the last vestiges of humanity in the early 22nd century. Virgil characterized himself as a "true believer" in that agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. would journey from the past into the future to save humanity. Others just thought he was a crackpot. Virgil got the chance to meet his hero, Phil Coulson, but only for a moment. Before he could explain himself any further, Virgil was snatched and killed by scavenger Vrell Nexians.
