Vexpag is a character who has been referenced, but never seen in the science fiction television series Andromeda. Vexpag served as the environmental life support officer aboard the salvage ship Eureka Maru under the command of Captain Beka Valentine. Ironically, Vexpag was not particularly skilled at his job. During a mission where the crew had to board another ship, Vexpag neglected to check his pressure suit and failed to notice a tear in the suit as well as a bad emergency seal. As such, Vexpag died from decompression. His successor was a perky, purple-skinned young woman named Trance Gemini. Unwilling to lose another environmental life support officer to carelessness, Beka told Trance the story of Vexpag and that he had "bought the farm". Trance, in her innocence, mistook the meaning and thought that Vexpag had retired and bought a farm. [1]
