Veronica Dultry is a fictional super-villain and recurring antagonist featured in comic books published by Marvel Comics. She is part of the mainstream Marvel Universe and first appeared in The X-Men, Volume 1 #94 in August, 1975.
Biography[]
Veronica Dultry underwent scientific experimentation at the hands of a scientist working for Count Luchino Nefaria. The result of the experiment gave her a double-pair of insectoid wings, compound eyes and red skin. She became a member of the second team of Ani-Men under Nefaria's control.
Count Nefaria and his Ani-Men raided Valhalla Base at Cheyenne Mountain in the Colorado Rockies. Along with the rest of the Ani-Men, Veronica Dultry incapacitated the military personnel stationed at the base while Nefaria activated the Doomsmith Scenario, giving him control over the country's missile-defense system. Veronica Dultry then engaged the X-Men, who came to Valhalla Base to fight Nefaria. [1][2]
Veronica Dultry later became one of many animal-themed villains who were rounded up by Arcade Industries and forced to participate in a survival hunt competition against Hunter-Bots in Central Park in New York City. [3]
