Verónica Segura is a Mexican film and television actress born in Mexico City, Mexico. Her first work was in a 1993 Spanish film short called Abandonos. While living abroad, Verónica received an invitation to play a minor role in the second installment of George Lucas' Star Wars franchise entitled Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones. Because of her slight resemblance to actress Natalie Portman (who played Senator Amidala), Verónica was chosen to play the role of Cordé, one Padmé Amidala's bodyguard decoys. Segura's appearance in the film was very brief, consisting of only a single line of dialogue.
