Venus Capriccio is an American ongoing comic book series published by DC Comics and licensed through CMX Manga. It is the English translation of the Japanese manga of the same name. The black and white series is written and illustrated by Mai Nishikata, who also provides the cover art illustrations for all four volumes. The series began publication in April, 2009, with the last published volume being released in May, 2010.
The premise of the series is a coming of age story that involves seventeen-year-old Takami Habara and her childhood friend Akira Sasaki, who is two years her junior. As high school students, the two bond even closer while taking piano lessons and a budding romance develops between the two.
Synopsis[]
Akira and Takami join forces to help save the annual high school chorus performance. After the concert Akira tells Takami he loves her…but she doesn't seem to get it. Later, Takami flees her house after a huge fight with her brothers and seeks solace at Akira's place. The opportunity couldn't be more perfect for Akira to try again. But when he makes his move, the whole situation backfires!
