Vango is a fictional freedom fighter and a minor character featured in the Flash Gordon multimedia franchise. He appeared in issue #173 of the comic book anthology series Four Color in November, 1947.
Biography[]
Vango was a humanoid extraterrestrial from the planet Opto. He was the leader of a resistance cell that fomented rebellion against the tyranny of the regent of the winter region, Optik. Vango received aide in this endeavor from Flash Gordon and Dale Arden.
