"The Blood Sacrifice of Amanda Saint!" is the title to the first story featured in the illustrated horror magazine series Vampire Tales published by Marvel Comics and Curtis Magazines. It was written by Don McGregor with artwork by Rich Buckler and inks by Pablo Marcos. It was lettered by Irv Watanabe and Jean Simek. The story features Morbius - The Living Vampire! The second tale is a reprint story called "Witch Hunt!" by an unknown author and artist Mannie Banks. Stan Lee was the original editor on the story. The third story is called "Five Claws to Tryphon" and is written by Gardner Fox with artwork & inks by Jesús Blasco & John Romita. It was lettered by Irv Watanabe. The fourth story features the succubus known as Satana Hellstrom and is called "Satana". It was written by Roy Thomas and illustrated by John Romita with lettering by Irv Watanabe. The fifth feature is another reprint story called "At the Stroke of Midnight". It was originally written and illustrated by Jim Steranko and lettered by Sam Rosen. The sixth and final story features Hodiah Twist and is called "The Praying Mantis Principle!" It was written by Don McGregor and illustrated by Rich Buckler with inks by Klaus Janson & Carlos Garzón with lettering by Tom Orzechowski. All original stories were edited by Roy Thomas with Marv Wolfman as associate editor. This issue shipped with an October, 1973 cover date and carries a cover price of .75 cents per copy.
