V was a two-part miniseries event that first aired on NBC on May 1st and May 2nd, 1983. Combined, both episodes make up the first half of the overall V story, which was continued a year later in the three-part V: The Final Battle miniseries. The miniseries spun-off into a V ongoing television series, which ran for 19 episodes between 1984 and 1985. In 2009, series creator Kenneth Johnson brought his franchise to life once again as it was re-imagined for modern audiences with a second ongoing V television series. This series only lasted two seasons and was cancelled in 2011.
