Vârcolac is a fictional demon featured in comic books published by Marvel Comics. He is associated with the "Werewolf by Night" line of titles and was first referenced in Werewolf by Night, Volume 2 #1 in February, 1998.
Biography[]
Vârcolac was a demon or, quite possibly, an amalgamation of multiple demons, who represented the wolf aspect of humanity. Members of the cult known as the Third Moon attempted to vanquish the beast by use of a mystical relic known as the wolfsblade. However, they found themselves indebted to the creature instead. They soon discovered that the wolfsblade was but a fragment of a larger piece needed to control the demon.
