"When Mutants Clash!" is the title to the main story featured in issue #45 of the first The X-Men ongoing comic book series published by Marvel Comics. The story was written by Gary Friedrich with layouts by Don Heck and finished pencils by Werner Roth. It was inked by John Tartaglione and lettered by Sam Rosen. The second story is called "And the Mob Cried... Vengeance!", which is an X-Men "Origins" story featuring iceman. It was written by Gary Friedrich with art by George Tuska, inks by John Verpoorten and lettering by Irv Watanabe. Both stories were edited by Stan Lee. This issue shipped with a June, 1968 cover date and carries a cover price of .12 cents per copy.
