Overview[]

Uatu is an immortal omnipotent extraterrestrial who belongs to an alien race known only as the Watchers. All Watchers are governed by a strict code of non-interference when it comes to the development of alien worlds, but more than any other, Uatu is the one Watcher most likely to break this edict. He is charged with monitoring all events that transpire within the Sol system and has had frequent contact with the planet Earth, often times breaking the code of the Watchers to save the planet from a traumatic fate, such as interceding when the planet-devouring cosmic entity Galactus first came to Earth. Uatu has had made dealing with the Fantastic Four, but is otherwise unknown to the general populace of Earth. Uatu maintains a private citadel located on the blue area of Earth's moon.
