Blackgas[]
Tyler was a young blonde-haired man who grew up in the town of Footstep on Smoky Island. He was the son of Alan and Kate. Tyler spent his later years in the United States where he met and began dating a woman named Soo Park. Tyler brought Soo back to Smoky Island to meet his parents, then took her off to a family cabin located deep in the woods on the other side of the island. In 2006, a long-dormant volcano dubbed "The Bulge" erupted, projecting pressurized black gas from underground into the air. The winds blew the black gas across Footstep, and those exposed to it turned into murderous, cannibalistic lunatics. As Tyler was on the other side of the island when the volcano erupted, he was not immediately exposed to the gas. (Blackgas 1) Soo Park and he made their way back to Footstep, but were horrified at how quickly the black gas infection had spread. Returning to his childhood home, he discovered that his mother had gone insane and decapitated his father. Unable to react, Soo Park lit a curtain on fire and burned Kate to death, and the two left the house. They found boat captain Peter Menlove, who had been infected, but was able to temporarily stave off the effects because he was high. (Blackgas 2) Ultimately however, Menlove succumbed to the infection, and Tyler and Soo watched as he was disemboweled by other infected. Grabbing the keys to Menlove's boat, Tyler continued to blast his way through hordes of infected with a shotgun. Soo and he managed to get to the boat, but by this time, the Black gas had infected Tyler as well. With the help of Soo Park, he took his own life, by holding his rifle beneath his chin and shooting himself in the head. (Blackgas 3)
DC Universe[]
One character named Tyler worked as prison warden in or near Central City, Missouri. He admonished a prisoner named Sam Scudder for his failure to properly clean some mirrors. As a result, Scudder became obsessive about his work and learned everything there was to know about mirrors. When he was released from prison, he turned this talent towards crime, manufacturing various gimmick mirrors with special properties. He donned a costume and called himself the Mirror Master and became a foe of the Flash. (Flash 105)
